Hawaiian for family. Use of this word in the name of the corporation is a tribute to our founders’ maternal roots in Hawaii, where family is everything and everyone is family; the importance of family in the lives of the people we assist; and our commitment to serving our clients with the devotion one would have as trusted members of the family.

Fiduciary

A fiduciary acts on the behalf of another person (the “principal”) in a position of unwavering trust and good faith, with the highest duty to be loyal to the principal and to put the interests of the principal before the fiduciary’s personal interests at all times. A fiduciary must never use this position of trust to become personally enriched by the principal’s assets or resources; neither should the fiduciary use the role to impose personal values or desires on the principal, over the principal’s own unique preferences and wishes.

Services

Ohana is a Washington State chartered Trust Company and Certified Professional Guardianship Agency. We provide customized services designed to meet the needs of people with their financial affairs and personal care. These services are usually performed in a formal role as:

• Trustee of a trust under a Will or trust agreement
• Court appointed Guardian or Limited Guardian
• Agent under a power of attorney
• Court appointed Administrator or Executor of estates under a Will or intestate probate
• Agent or consultant under a private agreement for services

In business since 2007, and with extensive experience ranging many years prior to that, we provide a high level of institutional expertise in managing these roles. We have the capability to successfully handle situations ranging from very simple to highly complex. In whatever role we take on, the elements of our mission remain paramount.
